Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa) Alberta Native
$5.50 – $12.00 excluding_tax
Description
Its scent is truly reminiscent of the bergamot used in the tea of the same name and makes a decent substitute. A nice flavouring for wild game if you want something a little different. The crazy Sideshow Bob mauve flowers lend some pizzazz to any garden. As it contains thymol, the same constituent found in thyme, it possesses the same antiseptic properties and can be used as a mouthwash. It’s long blooming period attracts a number of different bees, butterflies and hummingbirds.
