Edmonton Seedy Sunday. Every year we have attended, this has been a great event to learn more about gardening, and pick up seeds and plants from local vendors. It runs from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm in the Alberta Avenue Hall. We will have potted herbs, native plants, Ceridwen Logs, and be providing information and taking registrations for our upcoming events. Go to the Edmonton Seedy Sunday website for more information.

Alberta Open Farm Days. This will be our 2nd year being a part of this educational agri-tourism and rural sustainability-based platform. This year’s theme is water, the lifeblood of every farm which is especially close to us, as we live adjacent to Lake Isle, have a number of wetland areas running through our property, and utilize water every day in our greenhouse/nursery, and livestock operations. Plan your route to travel to a number of farms and agriculture-related businesses in your area or along a path you wish to explore. Each one will offer something unique, from tasting locally created foods and beverages to getting up close and personal with different livestock to learning about how farms accomplish their many daily tasks. We will offer nature walks, meet and greets with our Curly Horses, Mammoth Donkey, Wiltshire Horn Sheep, various heritage and rare poultry breeds, and tours of our native plant nursery. Our gypsy vargo mobile stand, the Dragon Wagon, will be open at the gate to greet people, and other local business vendors will be offering demos, samples, and more locally produced products. Keep up to date on our FB page, our website, and https://albertaopenfarmdays.ca/ !
