Ascending Purple Milk Vetch (Astragalus striatus) Alberta Native
Price range: $5.50 through $12.00 excluding_tax
Description
This vetch is actually a fair forage plant and it actively grows in response to grazing. It also is a nitrogen-fixing plant so it can be a part of the process to help rejuvenate tired soil. It handles a variety of growing conditions well, so it can almost go anywhere as long as it has some light (it would not do well in deep shade). Ascending Purple Milk Vetch has pretty purple flowers and grows in clumps so it can also work well in container gardens and other landscaping design applications.
