Description
Evening Primrose oil sold in capsules, is extracted from the seeds. It contains Gamma Linolenic Acid or GLA which may help acne, improve skin condition, and ease some peri-menopausal symptoms. It is one of our few native species that flowers in the evening, hence its name, so is beneficial to night time pollinators. It is generally considered a biennial, so it will form an attractive ground hugging rosette the first year and send up a tall spire of yellow flowers followed by seed in the second season.

This is a spectacular flower and grows so fast – in a couple of months it grew from a 2″ plug to over 2′ tall and is in full bloom. It is also very full at thr base, which is nice !
