Alumroot, Prairie (Heuchera richardsonii) Alberta Native
$5.50 – $12.00 excluding_tax
Description
For those that are Heuchera enthusiasts, here is a wild relative right here in Alberta! This particular Heuchera is somewhat adaptable as it will grow to the size of its container. In a smaller pot it maintains small round leaves, but if you give it room, the leaves spread out, increasing in size to about the palm of your hand! In a bit of shade this Alumroot is lush, green and reaches its largest size (if given the space). For a different twist it will grow a bit smaller in sunnier environments with its leaves turning crimson. These changing features make it a beautiful landscaping specimen. Watering needs are medium to a bit on the drier side, but do not let this plant sit in wet soil that does not drain or it will rot.
