How nice to have a native plant that is edible as well as being pretty! Nodding Onion has white to pinkish flowers that looking like a drooping umbrella. It makes me feel as though they would have a shy nature if they were human. Be sure to plant some when container gardening, creating a faerie garden, at the front of a border, or anywhere where smaller plants can shine without being smothered by towering ones. Just don’t let them sit in water logged soil or their bulbous roots will rot.
