Naturally found in South Eastern Alberta, this hardy maple can be tapped for sap to make sweet syrup like its cousin, the Sugar Maple. While Sugar Maples will grow in Alberta they are better suited to Eastern Canada and may not produce enough sap for syrup in our province.
