Fleabane, Common (Erigeron philadelphicus) Alberta Native
Price range: $5.50 through $12.00 excluding_tax
Description
Found in a variety of habitats from full sun to partial shade as long as some moisture is present. The leaves are somewhat variable but are generally more spoon shaped near the base and more elliptical and pointed as they progress up the stem. The leaves are also somewhat hairy. The flowers are daisy like and grow in clusters at the top of the plant in light shades of white, pink and mauve with yellow centers. In optimal conditions they can grow up to 3′ tall and though they are considered to be a biennial or short lived perennial, fleabanes self sow readily so there will always be new ones to fill the space.
