Native Plant Hike

July 25 @ 10:30 am - 12:00 pm

Free

Join us in conjunction with the Parkland County Library system at Keephills Library Saturday, July 25 at 10:30 am for a native plant hike. Call the Keephills library to register or message them on FB @pclibraries. Learn to identify some native plants and invasives and discover their many amazing uses! Come away with with a new appreciation for wildcrafting and the ecosystems. Don’t forget to dress appropriately and bring your own bug spray and sunblock. Please remember COVID guidelines and stay at home if you are experiencing any symptoms. Those exhibiting symptoms will not be allowed to participate and will be sent home. MM Gardens will have a variety of naturally and locally grown potted native plants available for sale for those wishing to start their own native gardens. It is hoped that this will also help alleviate overharvesting pressure on some species in the wild and provide a clean source for wild edibles. Contact Medieval Manor Gardens at dawnw@mmgardens.ca for advance requests for specific plants. Bring cash or we can accept e-transfer. Hope to see you there!
